Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the month-end close process, consolidations, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple operating companies. This individual will work closely with the Controller and operating company teams to ensure accurate financials, support integration efforts, and help drive insights that enable value creation.

What you’ll do:

  • Financial Close & Reporting
    • Manage and perform month-end close for Pine Management companies
    • Prepare consolidated financial statements and assist in variance analysis
    • Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
    • Ensure GAAP compliance across all reporting
  • Operating Company Support
    • Collaborate with accounting teams at operating companies to ensure accurate accounting treatments are followed
    • Support acquisition integration from a finance/accounting perspective
  • Audit & Compliance
    • Assist with annual audits and manage PBC (Prepared By Client) requests
    • Maintain internal controls and support compliance with company policies
    • Coordinate tax filings with external providers
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
    • Help build scalable systems and reporting tools for a growing organization

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry
  • Experience with multi-entity consolidations; private equity or portfolio company experience is a strong plus
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in SaaS or software resale environments
  • Exposure to purchase accounting and M&A integration
  • Familiarity with ERP implementations or upgrades
